PMBOK® Guide Quality concepts in Projects course

Description

This course explains students how to obtain quality products at the end of a project. Using the principles of several Quality Guru's such as Deming, Juran, Crosby and Feigenbaum, the concept of "Quality is Planned in, not Inspected in" is explained.

Realising quality products starts at the very start of the project. Specifying the quality level is a mandatory, though very difficult step in a project. Only after having baselined this quality level, it will be possible to monitor if the level is realised or if the level has changed.

Using the quality level, the Project Manager can then identify the actions necessary to reach that level and quantify the resources needed. When realising the project, the Project Manager must assure that the necessary actions are being carried out. Finally the quality of the delivered products must be controlled.

The course goes into detail into a significant number of techniqes that can be used throughout the Quality Process. All the techniques are explained in theory and an exercise will reveal to the student how to perform the techniques in a project.
