Description
“How do we do this within the context of Business as Usual” is a common question that is often asked. For the improvement program to get off the ground and be sustainable in this type of environment there needs to be an approach that is focused, lean, pragmatic, well planned and governed. It needs to be executed using model content, program management and organizational change management techniques with as little interruption to the organisation and with minimum resources.
In this workshop, process improvement leaders in a Software Engineering Process Group, Project Management Office, or similar team establish or evolve their improvement approach. Attendees develop an approach tailored to their organisation’s needs and current level of process maturity. They define the improvement infrastructure; identify sources of resistance and how to handle them. Considering their specific organisation characteristics, the team establishes a strategy for improvement with an appropriate combination of organisation-level process teams and direct support to the organisation’s projects.
Audience
The course is excellent for current or future members of a process improvement team, project management office, management sponsorship teams, and others creating software or systems process improvement programs for their organizations.
